Burna Boy & Chris Martin's Video"The Monster You Made": A True Reflection Of Activism

Burna Boy & Chris Martin’s Video”The Monster You Made” – A True Reflection Of Activism: The African Giant, “Odogwu” – Burna Boy, as he may like to be called, rocks a reflection of a dedicated activist In the video of one of the songs in his new “Twice As Tall” album, “Monsters You Made“.

The song “Monsters You Made” is the 14th track in his new album, which purposefully seems to portray activism. The song by Burna boy Features Chris Martin, one of the members of the “Cold Play” group.

Chris Martin delivered an unblemished and refined chorus to glow up the song with a specific kind of beauty, only the ears can “see”. Burna’s prime initiative to involve Chris in the track is what I’d like to call ingenuity – a perfect blend of sweet nothings.

Burna delivered a track, completely tilted away from his usual kinds of song. The music video? A strong message! It feels more like a message and activism than entertainment. All the same, it possesses a perfect blend of both – an absolute success to a warm message of racism and bad governance.

In the video, Burna can be seen training a group of youth activists on both combat and gun battle. They further proceeded to go on a mission, which ended in victory.

The song, “Monsters You Made”, which was released alongside other tracks in the accompanying “Twice As Tall” album, was first released on the 14th day of August, 2020. The Genre has a tint of Afro-pop, Alternative, Afro-bashment and Reggae – a perfect blend, you may call it.

The video was produced by Leriq and directed by JM Productions under the label: Spacehip – released on the 27th day of August, 2020. Whether or not, Burna will take a long trip down this new path, like his role model, Fela, I promise you, I can’t predict.

Nevertheless, with his adherence to a bunch of my criteria for rating, I’ll give him a 9.5/10 for that track. If you haven’t heard the song or watched the video or even listened to the album, You are missing a whole lot. Go get it!
